It has come to my attention that there might be some of you with a few unsubstantiated and preconceived ideas about me, the Webmaster of this website.
Just to put the record straight: This is a FAN site. It was built/designed and put together by me, and me only. I've been a fan of the band before their first EP came out. I built this site only days after ETF's first full-length album came out back in September of 2006. Check the WHOIS records if you need to: http://who.is/whois/escapethefate.net/
The purpose of this website was, AND STILL IS solely and wholeheartedly to offer fans of Escape The Fate a place to find information and news on the band and to interact with other fans.
It is NOT to make money with advertising, to "take advantage" of the band or to forward a personal agenda.
If this is what any of you think, then it's time for you to get real.
Running this website cost money and time. I do it because I am a fan. The advertising that you might find on this site generates merely enough to pay for hosting costs. If I was really trying to make money, I would have alot more of it.
Over the years, the website has gotten attention and has grown to be quite popular. For those of you thinking I lose sleep over how many people come to this website, let me disabuse you of this idea. The site got to where it is now, because at the time, there was no such site for fans. So I built one.
It was never my intention for this site to grow to the level it has. And if it has, then so be it.
I have done everything I can to promote the Band's endeavors through this site. I link to their Myspace, Purevolume and Label site on almost every page of the site. I update the band info, tour dates, etc. whenever time allows it. I do my best to offer a quality forum and to keep it free from spam and crap so that YOU, the fans, can enjoy it. I am not in competition with the Band. That is fucking ridiculous.
So if any of you "doubters" are reading this, then hear me out. This is not a fucking business I'm running. It's done out of love for the band, and the music. If you have any questions/comments/suggestions, I am more than open to them.
